Chihuahua – Mexican Grill & Margarita Bar

We set-out for some Mexican food tonight and ended up at Chihuahua – Mexican Grill & Margarita Bar inside a popular mall (Green Belt) in Manila, Philippines. Was our experience worth repeating or did we wish we would have saved some precious petrol?

Burrito Bowl

What we ordered:

Carnitas Burrito Bowl

Steak Tacos

tacosFrozen Margarita

Corona Beer

Php995 (US$23)

- Good variety of salsa and hot sauce (shown below)
- Well seasoned Pico de Gallo, Salsa that came with the Burrito
- Salsa had enough kick but not overpowering

- Steak tasted like it had MSG seasoning, and soon enough we saw Maggi seasoning from their kitchen counter confirming our hunch.. not good!
- Refried Beans were not seasoned at all
- Meat serving was too small for what you pay
- Margarita was very sour and bitter at the same time, we can make better margarita using pre-mixed margarita from the grocery store

Save the fuel for your trip to the grocery store as you can do better! Not worth the detour.
